We have extensive and deep experience. Our founders all began their careers as engineers and scientists working in industry, and have applied those skills to all aspects of patent law practice for over twenty years.
Patent Preparation and Prosecution
We emphasize strategic patent portfolio development and management. Our patent preparation and prosecution practice includes utility and design patent application and preparation in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as foreign and PCT patent filings.
Litigation
We focus on all aspects of patent litigation with the goal of helping our clients to reach an outcome that meets their business objectives. Our litigation experience includes bringing and defending patent infringement actions throughout the United States and collaborating with foreign firms internationally, and bringing or defending appeals.
PTAB Proceedings
In September 2012, new post grant review proceedings went into effect before the United States Patent Trial and Appeal Board (“PTAB”). Since that time, we have developed in-depth experience in all phases of these proceedings from filing through trial and appeal, particularly with respect to inter partes reviews (IPRs).
Counseling and Strategy
We provide counseling and strategic advice, including litigation avoidance, pre-suit investigations, non-infringement opinions, invalidity opinions, right to practice opinions, patentability opinions, licensing, and due diligence.
