Sage Patent Group is seeking an attorney to manage patent prosecution for both global and local clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of patent prosecution experience, including drafting/filing patent applications, analyzing/responding to Office Actions, and handling large clients with global portfolios.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with high volume clients and will be comfortable managing dockets that include both short-term and long-term deadlines.

Candidates must be licensed to practice before the USPTO and licensed in at least one U.S. state. Admission in North Carolina is preferred.

A hard science background is required. A bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in a related field such as mechanical engineering is strongly preferred. Experience with automotive technologies, gaming technologies, power systems, and/or aerospace is preferred. Experience with software, electromechanical technologies, artificial intelligence, and/or virtual reality technologies is also beneficial.

Sage is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and has a hybrid office environment, with significant remote work opportunities. The ideal candidate will be based in Raleigh and the Research Triangle area.
