Founder Emeritus
David Purks, a co-founder of Sage Patent Group, practiced law from 1994 until his retirement in 2026 with a focus on patent and other intellectual property matters. David has substantial experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and litigation of patents. He worked extensively with technologies relating to software, terrestrial and satellite wireless communications, networking, aircraft avionics, semiconductor devices, artificial intelligence, robotic surgical systems, and medical devices.
David is a former Managing Partner of Myers Bigel Sibley & Sajovec and a former Associate General Patent Counsel with Ericsson. Prior to his legal career, David worked as a senior electronics engineer at McDonnell Aircraft Company for over seven years developing military, space, commercial aircraft avionics systems.
